2026 Pumpkin Decorating Contest

September 14, 2026 By Library Staff

The 2026 Pumpkin Decorating Contest will be underway starting Friday, October 9. Pumpkins may start to be turned in from Friday, October 9 through October 24. Get your creative juices flowing to see if you’re going to be one of this year’s winners! You’ll need to fill out and turn in a contest form with your pumpkin or pick one up at the front desk in the library. Just remember not to carve or add food products to your pumpkin, as we don’t want critters visiting us in the library.

Here are the rules:

  • Pumpkins should be 23 inches in diameter or smaller.
  • Pumpkins may be turned into the library starting Friday, October 9.
  • Do not use any type of food on your pumpkin.
  • No carving allowed – gluing and painting are great!
  • There are 5 age groups: 0-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-17, 18 and up
  • Print your first and last name on the bottom of your pumpkin.
  • Entries must be received by 2 pm, Saturday, October 24th
  • Pick up your pumpkin from Tuesday, 10/27 until Sat., 10/31 by 2 pm
  • Prize winners will be announced on Monday, 10/26

(Pumpkins will be thrown away on Saturday, 10/31 at 2pm if not picked up by then.)
