Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees manages and controls the affairs of the library. They make and adopt bylaws, rules, and policies of the library. They appoint and supervise the Library Director and they adopt a yearly budget, with the approval of the City Council. The trustees serve without pay for a term of five years and for not more than two terms. Vacancies will be announced, and applications will be solicited at that time. The current Board members and their term expiration dates are listed below:

  • Marisela Shumway, 1-2-2023
  • Marie Knapp, 5-24-2024
  • Wade Wroten, 9-1-2025
  • Jeff Miller, 9-1-2026
  • Logan Green, 1-19-2027

Carrie Huggins acts as the liaison from the City Council.

We accept applications for board membership from Middleton City residents when positions are open. If you are interested in serving in this, or any other capacity, please contact the director either at the library or by email (director@mymidlib.org).

Library Board meetings are the held the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the City Council Chambers, 1103 W. Main Street
