UNFORTUNATELY THE CLASSES ARE FULL! You can contact us to be placed on the waiting list. The Middleton Public Library will be hosting a 4-H sponsored event – The Aerospace Outside the Box learning adventure – for children that are 8-13 years old. It will be held every Friday starting September 23 and ending October 21, from 1pm – 2pm. All 5 lessons relate to each other, so it will be most beneficial if your child can attend all 5 classes . This event is FREE. Please RSVP with your name, your students name, contact information, and the number of classes your student will be attending. You can call us at 208-585-3931, or text 208-314-0528, email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or stop by the front desk.
The Aerospace Outside the Box learning adventure is a science exploration on flight. Students will learn about the 4 forces of flight, how weather affects flight, and end with some simple rocket fun.
Students will be building a barometer to measure air pressure, folding and testing paper airplanes, exploring thrust with a foam flyer, and looking at lift and drag with a parachute and an airfoil. To end the adventure, the students will make and launch foam rockets while learning some simple rocket science. Each student will receive one box (learning lab) of supplies that has everything needed to do all the activities included in this adventure. Due to limited space, we can only have a maximum of 15 students.
