Donations

MONETARY DONATIONS

We do accept monetary donations to help replace books, furniture, and other items as well as emergency items that may not be budgeted for such as furnace/air conditioning break downs, plumbing issues and more.  If you’d like to donate to us, please use the following link to donate via credit/debit card by CLICKING HERE  Cash App is also accepted.  Your donation may be tax deductible per Idaho Code section 63-3029A, but please check with your tax preparer to confirm.

BOOK DONATIONS

If you are cleaning out your home library and don’t know what to do with your old books and DVDs, please stop by the library and place them in the white donations box in the parking lot next to the bike rack. Or feel free to bring them into the library during our business hours. (Please do not donate text books or old VHS tapes as we cannot use them.) If your items can be placed in circulation in the library, we’ll use them. If we can’t use them then we’ll either place them in the 3 free street libraries or the Friends of the Library will sell them at their book sales.  (If you’d like a receipt for tax purposes, then please bring the books/DVDs into the library instead during business hours and we’ll provide one.)

OTHER TYPES OF DONATIONS

During the year, we hold a children’s Summer Reading Program and a Winter Reading Program. The Winter Program is also for adults! We always offer prizes as incentives. If you happen to notice a great kid’s game, STEM activity or any other item that would appeal to children and you would like to donate it to us to use as a prize, we would really appreciate it! Think of other things your kids may like to win — food gift cards, a visit to the zoo, bowling or roller skating gift certificates, local events – the possibilities are endless. Just drop them off at the front desk! If you know any local merchants, please ask them to donate. We do have our very generous Middleton merchants who always donate to us such as Garbanzo’s and 44 Livestock & Pet Supply, but if you can convince others here in Middleton to support our programs, we always promote all businesses that donate on our website and via social media.

We are also working on perhaps joining the valley wide library consortium to be able to offer a bigger selection of materials, but can’t do so until we have a shed to process books that would be received from the other libraries, as well as additional funds to join. If you have any leads on helping to raise funds and/or a source for a shed, please contact our director Lori Clark.

Thank you so much for helping us!

This website and program are brought to you by the Idaho Commission for Libraries and made possible, in part, by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
