Meet Cassie, our new Computer Control System

January 16, 2016 By Library Staff

Why do we need this system?

MPL is a popular place to hang out! We are finding that there are peak times when many people want to use computers. We want to be fair- everyone in Middleton should have equal access to library services. SO, each person who logs in is given 2 hrs. If your time runs out, and no one else is waiting, you get another session. If someone is waiting, then it is their turn. This new system makes it so there is no question that each person is getting equal access at the library.

What do I DO?

  1. When you sit down at a computer, you should see the black CASSIE screen. Enter your library card number, and you are ready to go.
    1. Once you are in, look at the bottom of the screen. You will see a grey bar. It will be measuring your time.

Soon, we will be implementing CASSIE programs that will manage printing, too!
