Summer Reading is coming!

April 20, 2022 By Library Staff

CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR THE SUMMER READING PROGRAM!

The Summer Reading Program is designed to help “Summer Slide”. We provide weekly prizes as well as grand prizes to incentivize children 0-18 to read.

There will be two types of “reading challenges” – a Time Spent challenge and a Nonfiction challenge.

TIME SPENT CHALLENGE

Each child will read a for a certain amount of time each week based on their age. The age categories are:

0 – 5 = 50 hours per week

6 – 12 = 75 minutes per week

13 – 18 = 100 minutes per week

NONFICTION CHALLENGE

Each child will explore our nonfiction section and will either read 5 books per category (ages 0-5) or 10 books per category (ages 6-14).
